What makes EHP Speech Therapy different from other speech therapy businesses?
At EHP Speech Therapy, we focus on the child in their natural environment. We work with the families and caregivers of our patients to ensure the child learns to communicate functionally within the community with peers and adults. Our goal is to bring out the best communication skills in each child. We feel that nothing is more important than being able to communicate your wants, needs, ideas, feeling, etc. to everyone you meet.
As defined by ASHA, Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. What are your hours of operation?
We are available Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 8:00PM for referrals, parent intake interviews, review of progress, and to answer any questions you may have. Evaluations and therapy visits are scheduled based on the therapist and child’s availability. Currently, all services are provided in the community (home, daycare, preschool, private school, etc.).
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
It never hurts to call and set up a free consultation with one of our speech language pathologist. We will spend 15-20 minutes reviewing developmental milestones, parent concerns, previous medical history, and schedule an evaluation if needed.
Do you accept private insurance?
Currently, we do not accept private insurance. We will provide you will all the information you need if you want to request reimbursement from your insurance company.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, check, or cash. Invoices are sent out at the beginning of each month for projected services. Payment is due by the 5th of each month.
What if I am unable to pay for the full month by the 5th?
We will set up a payment plans for the month. Payment plans must be set up prior to the 5th.
Do you have bilingual therapists?
Yes, we currently have one bilingual SLP-Assistant that speaks Spanish and one bilingual SLP-Intern that speaks Vietnamese.
What is a speech-language pathology assistant (SLP-Assistant)?
As defined by ASHA, speech-language pathology assistants are support personnel who, following academic coursework, fieldwork, and on-the-job training, perform tasks prescribed, directed, and supervised by ASHA-certified speech-language pathologists.
